Who was :


Frida Kahlo was an important Mexican painter of the twentieth century. It is considered by some experts in art, an artist who was part of Surrealism. However, Frida herself denied that was surreal, because he said that did not paint dreams but their own reality. Stood out to defend the rescue culture of the Aztecs as a form of opposition to the European cultural imperialist system.

 

Birth :


Frida Kahlo was born in Coyacán (Mexico) on July 6, 1907.

 

Death :


Frida Kahlo died in the city of Coyacán (Mexico) on July 13, 1954.

 

Short bio :


- Studied in the early youth, at the National Preparatory School.

 

- With 18-year-old suffered a serious bus accident. To occupy the spare time during recovery, began to paint.

 

- In August 1929, he married the Mexican painter Diego Rivera who had a tumultuous and unstable marriage.

 

- He lived in the United States with Diego Rivera between the years 1931 and 1934.

 

- Divorced is Rivera in 1939, but kept company with him thereafter.

 

- In 1939, Frida exhibited his work in Paris, Renon et Collea gallery.


- He gave an introduction to painting classes, from 1943 in the School La Esmeralda in Mexico City.

 

- Suffered three miscarriages in life.

 

- There was a marked life, especially after the divorce, the abuse of alcohol. He said it was to alleviate the suffering that always marked his life.

 

- After a serious pneumonia, died of pulmonary embolism on July 13, 1954.
